I share with you the blessing and passing over of I share with you the blessing and passing over of my beloved island home, a threshold, many years in the coming, on this Samhain, a day marking the change between seasons. After cleaning and tending to this sweet house for the last time, a place I have come to love and know every square inch since renovating it twice, I sang it a blessing song, an Irish lullaby called Óró Mó Bháidín, which means “Oh, my little boat.” I often said living in this cozy house was like living on a boat, every inch matters. A friend recently said, “There are no small things”, and so I share with you this little song to my little house (which I am learning with Misty Mountain Singers, thank you @meg.clearwater.odell !) at a big moment for me. And also for @dechensiri who is bringing his vision of @joy_farm_maine alive in this home. I couldn’t be happier knowing that art, community, music, baking, meditation and coffee is setting sail here with the most welcoming winds. ✨🙏✨ #threshold #samhain #oldhome #blessing #houselullaby
